THE ORGANIZATION
With over 30 years of experience, Handicap International (HI) is an independent and impartial aid organization, currently active in 60 countries, working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. It works alongside people with disabilities (PwDs) and vulnerable populations, taking action and bearing witness in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.
HI has been present in the Middle East since 1987 and currently operates in Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, with a regional office based in Amman, Jordan, and field offices in each country. In Palestine, HI has been active since 1996 and works in both Gaza and West Bank.

THE PROJECT
The project entitled "Post-emergency and early recovery intervention to improve access to essentials services in the Gaza strip for most vulnerable individuals and families.” which will be implemented by HI and partners, and is funded by the French Agency for Development (AFD), is planned for a duration of 18 months.
The project aims to provide post emergency and recovery support to address the growing gaps in PwDs’ (persons with disabilities) and PwIs’ (persons with injuries) access to essential specialized and mainstream services due to the last crisis in Gaza Strip.

For the implementation of this project Handicap International is opening the following positions:
Organisation Development Officer

The position is full time job position, national status and are based in Gaza
Organisation Development Officer

Main objectives of the position
-Support targeted rehabilitation centers in assessing their organizationl framwork and in developing organization development plans to adress the identified gaps
-Organize trainings and coach the centers towards improved organiational framwork & measure the impact upon both quality of services and internal governance
-Support the targeted rehabilitation centers to develop users centered culture and to adjust service delivery process and management mechanisms accordingly

Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experience
-Bachelor degree in organizational management or administration management
-Good level of spoken and written English
-At least 3 years experience in managing a service and/or supporting organisational development
-At least 2 years experience inone of the following domain: administrative management, human resources management or financial management
-Experience within rehabilitation service provision will be an asset
-Motivation for promoting disability movemnet organization and access to work for people with disability
