Project Coordinator (Ful time) Expected an average of 40 working hours/ week

Location: Ramallah

Duration: 4 months with potential extension based on performance and funds availability

Reporting to: Programs Director

1. Background


The Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association (PFPPA) is implementing a project to improve healthcare access and gender-based violence prevention in the Ramallah area.

PFPPA seeks a dynamic Project Coordinator to lead this transformative initiative. The role involves establishing a safe space and activating youth centers across Ramallah governorate, particularly serving vulnerable communities in northwest villages. The coordinator will partner with local service providers to deliver integrated sexual and reproductive health services while empowering youth as community advocates and prevention champions in these underserved areas.

The Project Coordinator will provide operational support for day-to-day project implementation, with primary focus on developing a new safe space and coordinating community outreach activities. This role is critical for ensuring effective ground-level implementation and community engagement.

2. Key Responsibilities

A.Activity Implementation & Coordination

  • Plan, Coordinate, follow up execution and oversee all project activities to be implemented through the project.​
  • Support service expansion at Ramallah area, ensuring quality service delivery in direct follow up and coordination with PFPPA health, gender, legal and youth focal persons​
B.Community Engagement & Capacity Building
  • Collect and share beneficiary feedback with the Project Manager to continuously improve service quality and accessibility​
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including youth, community leaders and local organizations.​
C. Administrative & Operational Support
  • Track attendance, participation data, and service utilization for MEAL reporting​
  • Assist in procurement processes and maintain inventory management systems​
  • Support documentation of project activities and maintain accurate records​
  • Provide administrative support to the PFPPA Senior management as needed​
D.Field Monitoring & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct regular spot checks to assess service quality​
  • Monitor implementation standards and adherence to protocols​
  • Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from field activities​
  • Report on implementation progress and recommend improvements​
  • Support the MEAL staff as required​



Education & Professional Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, or related fields​
  • Minimum2 years of proven experience in Project coordination/ management, for health or social focused projects, preferably with local or international Non – Governmental Organization in complex contexts​
  • Proven experience in community mobilization and engagement​
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse community groups, including youth populations and people with disabilities​
  • Experience in data collection and basic monitoring activities​
Skills & Competencies
  • Fluency in Arabic (required)​
  • English proficiency (preferred)​
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications​
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills​
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively​
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills​
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of local community dynamics​
Additional Requirements
  • Travel requirements: Must be able to travel frequently between Ramallah city and to project activity sites expected to be in villages, refugee camps and Area C locations surrounding Ramallah.​
  • Strict adherence to PFPPA's safeguarding policies and procedures​
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in service delivery​
  • Understanding and application of "do no harm" principles, particularly in GBV-related work​
  • Commitment to gender equity and women's rights​
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic operating environment​
