Registrar/Receptionist
CARE Palestine with support of local partners, is providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations affected by the conflict in Gaza. CARE Palestine’s programmes target conflict affected populations living in collective shelters in Gaza strip. The core sectors of CARE’s work include the restoration of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services, shelter, protection, Sexual Reproductive and Maternal Health (SRMH) services that combines rehabilitation and equipping of Primary Health Care Facilities, family planning support, capacity building of health staff and health outreach activities. CARE programmes mainstream protection and gender in all diversities, with a focus on specific needs of women and girls, recognizing that they are disproportionately affected by disasters.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Position Location: Gaza (Der Al-Balah) with frequent travel to projects location.
Length of Contract: 6 months with possibility of extension depending on availability of funds, performance of the individual. The position will be full-time.
Reporting/Line Management: Nutrisionist.
The Registrar will be responsible for overseeing the registration process for nutrition cases, maintaining databases, processing transcripts, verifying records, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
The positions will uphold CARE’s Core Values namely, Transformation, Integrity, Diversity, Equality, Excellence promote CARE’s mission and vision, programme principles to enhance programme impact. Ensures modelling of CARE’s values among MEAL staff and be committed to women and girl’s empowerment.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for patients for CARE team. Handle administrative tasks especially patient registration
- Assist patients with questions and form completion.
- Register individuals attending nutrition or clinic services upon arrival.
- Guide patients to services based on their needs.
- Support nurses in triaging critical cases for fast admission.
- Keep patient records up to date and easily accessible.
- Ensure patient registration supplies are stocked and request restocking in advance.
- Assist with data compilation and analysis for reporting as requested.
- Work shifts as needed, demonstrating flexibility.
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Participate in creating and implementing improvements for clinical and efficiency outcomes.
- Safeguarding responsibilities, any training related to technical work, code of conduct or CARE policies
- Representing CARE in the community as an advocate and an organizational representative
Job Profile Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent with experience in patient service, office work, or a clinical setting.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent Computer literate, Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Word, Excel, etc)
- Ability to move about and between workstations.
- High organizational skills.
- Adhere to CARE’s Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles.
- Experience in nutritional programming with WFP and UNICEF registration systems
- Strong community engagement skills, patient communication, including women and children
- Clear understanding of safeguarding and protection obligations
