Islamic Relief is a humanitarian INGO (www.irpal.ps) operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development.
Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its office in West Bank.
Title: Accountant (re-advertise)
Ref: A-WB-08-2013
Location: Ramallah office.
Type of Position: Full time
Main Duties:
-Responsible for recording and keeping different accounting & finance operations, and assisting FM in different process of Budgeting, Budget-tracking, Balance-sheet Management.
-Participate in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all IR's Accounting operations in west bank offices.
-Be responsible for the maintenance and the update of a computerized accountancy system.
-Develop plans and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly progress reports to be submitted to the FM.
-Determines appropriateness of sole source, brand name, and emergency procurement requests and prepares justification requests.
-Monitors contractor performance to ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions. Takes necessary steps to resolve performance issues.
-Perform other duties according to the Line Manager directions.
Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-A university degree in accounting.
-Two years’ experience in working for an international NGO.
-Experience of designing, keeping and working with accurate computerized data and manual records and books is essential.
-Good in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
-Interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
-Report writing skills.
-Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
