The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of:

Laboratory Technician

1-Vacancy No. : 096/2013/X
2-Duty Station : Jerusalem Area
3-Department : Health department
4-Grade & Salary : Limited Duration Contract (LDC) Band “C” – S1
506.00 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
5-Allowances : Dependency Allowances payable and other benefits (Medical Insurance) &
Currency Adjustment Factor.

6-Qualifications:
-Full secondary education.
-Completion of a course in laboratory techniques of two years duration from an institution recognized
by UNRWA.
-At least two years experience as laboratory technician.
-Experience in the use of computers and an understanding of their use in health applications.
-Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Competencies:
-Ability to work under pressure and cope with heavy workload.
-Adequate computer skills.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Self-motivated.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-Preference will be given to BA holders in medical technology.
-Preference will be given to Jerusalem area residents and its surrounding areas.
