Position: Psycho-social support supervisor- Location: Gaza - Responsible to: Referral System Officer - Closing date: 16th January 2014

Since its creation, the organization has set up programmes in approximately 60 countries and intervened in many emergency situations
THE JOB
Under the supervision of the Referral System Officer, the Psycho-social support supervisor will and contribute to the implementation of the activities of the project entitled Improving access of children with disabilities to quality multidisciplinary functional and psychosocial rehabilitation services in the Gaza Strip..
Main tasks will include:
-Provide training and capacity building to the psychologists partners team, to reinforce their capacities in terms of kap, related to psycho social distress/ Children with Disabilities (CWDs) and their families dealing with adverse circumstances/ Post Trauma Syndrome Disorder( PTSD) interventions (theory and practice)
-Provide support to the psychologists partners teams to conduct individual and group sessions addressing CWDs and their families dealing with adverse circumstances/ PTSD in CWDs.
-Provide support to the psychologists of the partners teams to develop a set of recreational/ creative activities for CWDs.
In addition to ensuring regular reporting to the referral system officer, the psycho-social support supervisor will ensure:
Reporting on The Training needs assessment.
Reporting on each Training session conducted.
Final Reporting on the Training, including report and analysis of the pre post test, monitoring visit and on the job coaching.
On a weekly basis, report on follow up and monitoring visits to the partners psychologists in the field.
Reports on Supportive supervision to the partners psychologists monitoring sessions, promoting the use of the tools pre-defined.
Final report on ER4 activity to the Referral network officer.
Participate with the referral system officer to prepare the monthly activities reports (Narrative and statistical reports) to be sent to the project officer.
Qualifications and Skills
-Master Degree in psychology, with a specific expertise in trauma.
-At least three years of professional experience working as a trainer and counselor in the field of trauma or any field related to the post
-Report writing skills in English and Arabic
-Computer skills (word, excel, power point
-Fluent in English - Willingness to travel to the field
-Excellent communication skills - Excellent networking and coordination skill
-Good organizational skills
Initial contract will be for a period of 6 months and the position is based in Gaza.
