As part of a partnership agreement signed with the French NGO Handicap International in order to implement a project funded by Canada-DFATD entitled "Improved Access to Essential Services for Persons with Disabilities in Highly Marginalized Areas of Bethlehem & Hebron Districts”, BASR is currently seeking to fill the following position:
Position Title: Accountant
Location: Beit-Jala
Accountable To: Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program Manager
Duration: One year contract, with possibility of extension
Job Type: Full time
Job Summary:
- Prepare, review, and control daily financial transactions.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure budget control.
- Verify all payment requests and ensure compliance with the project budget.
- Enter all accounting data on the financial system
- Manage the financial aspect of the procurement process.
- Prepare and follow up financial reports.
Professional Qualifications:
- B.A degree in accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience in project accounting.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Strong computer skills
