MECA sends shipments of aid to Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, and supports community-based projects in Palestine that improve the lives of children. We educate North Americans about children in the region and the brutal impact of US foreign policy on their lives and families.

The Warehouse Storekeeper should be based in Gaza and is responsible for the proper reception, storage, packing, and dispatch of goods in the warehouse, following MECA's warehouse management procedures. This role includes supervising and organizing the work of helpers and daily workers during loading and unloading operations.

Description:
The Warehouse Storekeeper should be based in Gaza and is responsible for the proper reception, storage, packing, and dispatch of goods in the warehouse, following MECA's warehouse management procedures. This role includes supervising and organizing the work of helpers and daily workers during loading and unloading operations.
Tasks:
- Supervise the receiving and dispatch of commodities, ensuring accuracy in physical count and quality compliance.
- Prepare, verify, and sign off on warehouse and transport documents, maintaining confidential files and accurate warehouse transaction records.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly warehouse reports and reconciliation and accurate inventory checks.
- Promptly detect and analyze reasons for stock discrepancies and damages, investigate missing quantities, and prepare warehouse loss reports, recommending appropriate solutions to enable informed decision-making.
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the warehouse to safeguard the food and nonfood items
- Ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched according to procedures, immediately reporting any problems or discrepancies.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies
- Ensure all consignments are accompanied by accurate and complete packing lists and waybills
- Ensure warehouse closure at the end of day according to procedures
Other duties as necessary to assist the MECA team in Gaza

- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases
- University degree in accounting or related field
- 2 years of work experience in storekeeping or warehouse management
- Ability to work well with a team
